Canis-Shiff (kahn-is shif)

Canis-Shiff

The Canis-Shiff  was a breed of medium to large-sized dog. The breed could change the color of their coat to any hue.  Canis-Shiffs were medium to large-sized dogs. The breed standard height at the withers is 60–65 cm (24–26 in) for males and 55–60 cm (22–24 in) for females. The weight standard was 30–40 kilograms (66–88 lb) for males and 22–32 kg (49–71 lb) for females. The eyes were medium-sized and brown with a lively, intelligent and self-assured look. The ears were large and stand erect, open at the front and parallel, but they were often pulled back during movement. They had a long neck, which was raised when excited and lowered when moving at a fast pace. Males had manes and females had bigger eyes.

Canis-Shiffs were moderately active dogs and were described in breed standards as self-assured. The breed was marked by a willingness to learn and an eagerness to have a purpose. They were curious, which made them excellent guard dogs and suitable for search missions. They could become over-protective of their family and territory, especially if not socialized correctly. They were not inclined to become immediate friends with strangers. Canis-Shiffs were highly intelligent and obedient, as well as being protective of their owners.
