Hyperion (hie-peer-ee-awn)

 

Hyperion (Hie-peer-ee-awn), was the harpy Titan of the Sun. He was the husband of Theia.

Mythology

In Greek Mythology, Hyperion was one of the twelve Titan children of Gaia and Uranus who, led by Chronos overthrew their father and were themselves later overthrown by the Oympians. With his sister, the Titaness Theia, Hyperion fathered Helios, Selene, and Eos.
