Fayish (fae-ish)

Fayish were flightless hawks merged with horses equipped with a reptilian tail and a pair of spiral horns. Despite their odd appearance, fayish were actually docile creatures. Their acute hearing made them capable of detecting predators coming from far away, so it was hard to catch an uninjured one in the wild.

Mythology

The Fei Lian also called “Feng Bow” — meaning “Wind Lord” — was a legendary creature in Chinese Mythology. The animal is typically depicted as a beast with the body and legs of a stag bounding through the forest.
