Aiatar (ay-ah-tahr)

Aiatar

Aiatars (Ay-ah-tahr) were non-venomous, brightly colored snakes. Though an aiatar bite did not carry venom, they were large constrictors. Unlike other snakes, aiatars did not shed their skin. An aiatar could actually stretch and grow their body so that they could fully contain their prey. On the flip side, they could also tighten their muscles to shrink and fit inside small holes or burrows. Because of this biological trait, there was no exact range of weight or length to assign to the serpent. A popular theory seemed to be that if an aiatar wanted to, they could wrap themselves around the entire world. They could be considered both the largest and smallest snakes in Fabella.
