She was adopted by Lilly’s son, Amun-Ra, as a toddler and raised alongside Thoth as his sister. Egyptians regarded Bastet as a cat headed goddess of protection. She was close to her adoptive father and his murder at the hands of Tefnut greatly affected her life, motivating her to defend the innocent.

Personality

Bastet was extremely type A. Bastet constantly used her magic to clean up around St. Tara’s Academy of magic, namely Emit’s tent. She liked to be in control of everything often made snide remarks when people didn’t take her suggestions to make her disagreement known.

Relationships

Bastet was a major love interest for both Emit and Anubis. She continually served as a point of contention among them throughout history and a source of conflict. Anubis had an on/off sexual relationship with Bastet, which he could never get over. Emit engaged in a one night stand with her before awkwardly coming back after a prolonged absence to agree it was all an accident.

In Herstory, Lilly notes that Bastet had been married multiple times. So far, only one of these marriages has been accounted for. Natalie revealed later in a discussion with Stephanie that Bastet married Emit in 6000 FY | 2000 AD. They were together for twelve years until her death in 6012 FY | 2012 AD.
